Planning and Development Services

ANNOUNCEMENT: Effective March 18, 2024, our Planner of The Day service for your general questions will be ending at 4pm daily. We will still continue to accept document drop offs until 4:30pm. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Beginning November 1, 2023, the Walton County Planning and Development Services department will no longer accept any type of application through the Citizenserve Online Portal. Any citizen who needs to submit an online application needs to do so through the EnerGov portal found here:

If you do not already have an account:

You will need to create an account through the new portal using a valid email address. You will receive an activation email once registered (please check your spam folder).

Once you successfully log in, you will see a dashboard that breaks down the following:

“My Permits” (This is for the Building Department)

“My Plans” (This is for the Planning Department)

“My Inspections” (This is for both departments)

Your current Citizenserve projects will gradually be merged into the new EnerGov system and it is crucial that you have your online portal account so that we may tie and associate your permit to you appropriately.

You will receive a new EnerGov permit number and your planner will be providing this information to you once your permit has been converted.
