How to withdraw or cancel a citizenship application

In some cases, you may be able to get a refund for some or all of your fees. Find out if you can ask for a refund.

1. Prepare your documents

To withdraw your application

• complete and sign the Request for Withdrawal of Citizenship Application Form [CIT 0027] (PDF, 772 KB)
  • If you applied as a family or a group, each applicant must fill out and sign the form (1 form per applicant, including minors if applicable).

  2. Send your request

  Where and how you send your documents to us depends on the type of citizenship application you submitted.
